The Murphy Brown TV series ran on CBS for ten seasons starting in 1988. The series was highly rated and won numerous awards during it's network television run.

Other Murphy Brown TV series characters were: Eldin who is painting Murphy's apartment for the entire series run; Phil owns the local bar & restaurant where the show's staff and the DC politicians take their lunch; The uptight anchor man is Jim Dial; Murphy's best friend, Frank; newswoman and former beauty queen Corky; and the Harvard grad and FYI executive producer Miles.
