song is driving me crazy
does anyone remember the song that was played when Alex got dumped by his girlfriend (soon to be wife in real life). I clearly remember the song playing, can hear it in my head but cannot put a name or artist to it. It ends with something like "when you had to tell me goodbye."

song
I think you are thinking of Billy Vera and the Beaters 1981 hit "At this moment"..the song was used in the 2 parter "the real thing" when Alex meets Ellen and he convinces her to not marry. It was supposidly used whe they break up, but I can;t remember that episode name
