This prime-time 80's TV show soap opera centered around two feuding families: the Channings, led by mother Angela Channing, and the Giobertis, led by Chase and Maggie.

TV Show Plot For Falcon Crest

The Falcon Crest soap opera was set in the fictional Tuscany Valley of California. Movie star Jane Wyman played the matriarch of the family Angela Channing, who was constantly at odds with her nephew Chase Gioberti (played by Robert Foxworth). Chase is an airline pilot who came back to Falcon Crest to claim his inheritance after his father died mysteriously.

Other members of the Falcon Crest cast included Chase's wife Maggie (played by Susan Sullivan), their children Cole (Billy Moses) and Vickie (Jamie Rose, Dana Sparks). Angela Channing's children were Emma (Margaret Ladd) and Julia (Abby Dalton). Lance (played by Lorenzo Lamas), was Abby's son who married Melissa (Ana-Alicia), when she was pregnant with Cole's baby.

Falcon Crest was in the lucrative time slot immediately following the widely watched evening soap Dallas. The network series aired on CBS from 1981 to 1990, for a total of 227 episodes.

Falcon Crest and Knots Landing DVDs - Where are they?

It is unbelievable that Falcon Crest is not out on DVD and that Knots is stuck with only season one out there. Every other stupid show ever produced is on DVD, but these super high quality soaps can't get any traction. Frankly, although I'm a Dallas addict, Crest and Knots were actually much better! Go figure - seems like these DVDs could be knocked out for pennies per set and huge profit mark up could be made from all of us who willingly scoop up every season all at once if we could. Sometimes logic prevails, sometimes it doesn't!

Falcon Crest TV Series

Not only is Falcon Crest not available to buy on DVD but you cant even download it from AOL IN2TV - that service is simply not avaible outside the USA. Yet Warner Bros have given the excuse that because they released all the episodes on AOL there are no plans to release it on DVD. If anyone has the address (I dont) write in and point out to them what could is that for FC fans who dont live in USA. Then lets see what their excuse it. I would gladly pay for download episodes.

Falcon Crest Complete Series

I would like ot know WHY we haven't been able to get the whole of Falcon Crest series in the UK I for one was an avid fan and we had it stopped all of a sudden, so we didn't get to see the whole series. It was taken off the TV and replaced with some other programme which wasn't anywhere near as good. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE RELEASE THE WHOLE SERIES IN THE UK I just know it would be a winer ( pardon the pun )

Falcon Crest Episode "Win, Place, Show"

I am just looking for this episode because it has one of my favorite actors in it. Scott Reiniger from "Dawn of the Dead". I agree with you all. I cannot believe how hard it is for anyone to put this out on DVD. They have all that other crap on TV DVD like Family Guy and Simpsons, crap like that but yet we can't get FC out there? Makes no damn sense at all.

Vatican Plot

My favourite conspiracy theory concerning the non-appearance of Falcon Crest on dvd concerns the intervention of the Vatican.

Many viewers of the series may not have realised that the story is set amongst a community of, largely, Roman Catholic Californians. And, as with most things Catholic, when Catholics do "Evil" they do it as only Catholics can do "Evil" i.e. with no holds barred! None of your old plastic protestanty evil as in Dallas and Dynasty. In "Falcon Crest" Catholics are seen at their evil worst. But, does the Vatican want that message to be duplicated millions of times on dvd? Hardly. So, it's highly likely that some ecclesiastical arm-twisting has gone on behind the scenes. Which explains the non-appearance of Falcon Crest on dvd.

Is there anything we humble viewers can do in the face of such Vatican obduracy? Might I suggest recourse to the one and only action which, history tells us, has the Vatican hopping like a herring on a griddle-o---i.e. Catholics refusing to make weekly contributions to their Church funds. So, if you're a Catholic and a FC fan let your Parish Priest know that he can go whistle for his funds until the Vatican relents and allows Jane Wyman and co. to strut their stuff ion the nation's dvd machines.

Zone Romantica not showing season 6 onwards

I've been watching Falcon Crest on Zone Romantica since in started earlier this year but its just finishing season 5 and have noticed they are going back to S1 ep 1 again and not showing S6 onwards.

Anyone know why?

Season 6 of Falcon Crest won't be on Zone Romantica until next year as they don't have the licence to show seasons 6 to 9 until then.

I cannot believe that I have along with my seven year old son watched every episode of Falcon Crest since it started this year and we get to the end of season 5 and then no more how can you be so cruel Zone Romantica to make us wait until next year it is just not on you shouldn't have shown any of the episodes until you had all 9 to show !!! I too have enjoyed watching series 1-5 of falcon crest on zone romantica. I e mailed zone romantica this week to ask why they are not showing series 6-9 and the reply I got was that they intend to show series 6-9 in June 2010!! This is due to financial reasons. I would like to buy these series on dvd but cannot find them anywhere.

Seasons 1 and 2 have been released this year in Spain (and also in Germany and a few other European countries as well). I bought the first season in April and they released the second one October the 20nd. Just in case there is someone interested in getting them (Warning: Region 2).

oh my god - huge fan - but once they stopped showing on zone after season five I switched off - occasionally checking on which episode they had got to - then Xmas - and I got fogetful and then tonight - sheer accident turned on cbs drama andlo and behlold series 6 started and was already on episode 15! arrggg! cant beleive I have missed first part of season 6!! that will teach me to watch dynasty instead! I am now happy again ! LOVE falcon crest!!!!

To all you Falcon Crest fans who buy the dvd whole series - Please DO NOT buy from company called EVODvdStar Collections - I bought the whole series meant to be 227 with 78 dvds. was not whole series ended at s6 and 2 discs wouldnt play - faulty all the discs were of very poor qualith and copied off the tv with flashes of future programmes. i e mailed them back and I have not had a reply and now have to get in touch with my credit card company to see if I can claim back - I pad over £75 and ordered for xmas 2009. Very disappointed, PLEASE BE WARNED i would love to have the complete series which warner bros are releasing 1st season in April 2010 - lets hope they release the rest, please do not order through any third party as u are at great risk at being conned like me! WARN YOUR FRIENDS AND PASS THE WORD TO ALL US AVID F.C. FANS.

My all time favourite TV soap then they axe it after series 6. Heard there were another 3 series after that. Showing on Sky TV at the moment. I've tried to contact various websites advertising all 9 series but then it says only 6 series. 227 dvd's at £80 - £90(obviously copied off TV as they have nver been made on DVD) but have never had a proper answer from them, which makes me think it's a con

Falcon Crest is the best.

I have seen very good T.V series such as 24, Elias, Dynasty,Dawson's Creek,Highlander, etc.
But Falcon Crest is my all time favorite and definitely will remain like that all my life. My all time favorite T.V character is Richard Channing played by David Selby.
