I WANT KNOW WANT POSSIBLE THIS TIME FIND & ORDER SERIAL DYNASTIE (1980s)
THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION
SINCERELY YOURS
EMMA .ROYCE
How COULD you rank Emma Samm's painfully awful and totally WRONG impersonation of Fallon Carrington Colby before Pamela Sue Martin's performance??? Martin was the ORIGINAL and ONLY TRUE Fallon! She made Fallon a living, breathing, fascinating, capricious, spirited and beautiful young animal that radiated HEAT!! Fallon and Jeff's scenes together were an exercise in mercurial passion and seemingly-doomed love. All I wanted in those days was to be Fallon, and to be WITH Jeff Colby!!! Every week, Pamela Sue Martin let me imagine, for an hour, that I was and I did. When it was announced that she was leaving "Dynasty", I was aghast, but not nearly as much as when the interloper Emma Samms took over with her appalling attempt at Fallon. EVERYTHING was wrong from the start: her appearance, her personality, her energy...not to even mention her incredibly INAPPROPRIATE English accent. HELLO, Fallon was an AMERICAN girl!!! Could not Samms even have made an EFFORT to get the VOICE right??? Apparently not!
"Dynasty" was never the same after Martin left, and in her absence, the plots got increasingly ridiculous and incredible by the week. I could barely stand to watch John James' scenes afterwards, as he was forced to make love not only to the fake Fallon, but a servant's daughter, Kirby, and other unsuitable types that Pamela Sue Martin's Fallon would have torn to bits in an instant! The REAL Fallon had CLAWS and didn't hesitate to use them!! She was a gorgeous young tiger prowling the jungle of her father's world and claiming her territory within it! Everyone that came after her and was cast in her stead opposite James was nothing more than mewling KITTENS...who never dared to show so much as a tooth or a talon!
Please, in the interest of truth, give Pamela Sue Martin her proper place in your "Dynasty" cast list, and if you MUST list Emma Samms, do so as "Fallon Number 2" - at the very BOTTOM!!!
Thank you for reading and considering this, as well as making your own contibution to the "Dynasty" legend. Obviously, "Dynasty" was one of my all-time favorite TV shows, and important to me for years, a reliable escape from the problems of my everyday life,a NON-guilty pleasure that I reveled in, and think of even now (despite the Fallon debacle) with much fondness.
