This 80's TV show featured the adventures of widowed millionaire Phillip Drummond, who adopts Arnold and Willis, two orphaned black brothers from Harlem.

TV Show Plot For Diffrent Strokes

In the TV show Diff'rent Strokes, Philip Drummund promises to care for two brothers, 8-year-old Arnold and 12-year-old Willis, and brings them to live in his Manhattan apartment.

Other Diff'rent Strokes characters include: Drummond's daughter, 13-year-old Kimberly; the family's housekeeper, Edna Garrett; Drumond's eventual wife, Maggie McKinney, who has a 6-year-old son, Sam.

Mrs. Garrett left to become house-mother at the Eastland School for Girls, which spawned the spin-off TV series Facts Of Life.

189 episoides of Diff'rent Strokes aired on NBC from 1978 to 1986.

i think this is one of my favorite shows from the older days. i like to watch a lot of shows from a long time ago even though i wasn't born when it came out i still like it. i like to see who the world use to be before i was born and i like it.

Different Strokes

I am 57 yrs old and first viewed Different Strokes in 1984 on DD along with my children. I was delighted to be able to view it again at 11pm every night on Zee Cafe. To my great disappointment, it is not aired any more; since this Monday to be exact. Please begin to air it again for us. We all love this serial and prefer it to Sex in the City and Best of Friends since even children love it.Please keep the same timing.

Awesome show ever watched........

Different Strokes was one the memorable T.V shows...and i would like to watch it again.
If possible Please do start it again in Indian Television as today\'s generation would love it. Specially the role played by Mr.Gary Colen as Anold Jackson.
I am really sad to here about his death due to brain hammarage.
