TV Show Plot For Barney Miller

The TV series Barney Miller chronicles the activities in Greenwich Village's Twelfth Precinct police station.

Barney Miller's coworkers included: Detective Ron Harris, a wannabe author; Nick Yemana, a laid back Japanese American cop from the midwest; Wojohowitz (Wojo), the naive and less than intelligent but honest officer; Dietrich, the intellectual; Fish the veteran cop who can’t wait to retire.

Other characters included: Barney Miller's wife Liz, played by Barbara Barry; Detective Chano Amenguale; Inspector Frank Luger, played by James Gregory; and Linda Lavin played Detective Janice Wentworth.

Fish was an ABC spinoff TV show of Barney Miller which featured Abe Vigoda as Detective Phil Fish and Florence Stanley as his wife Bernice. The Fish series lasted from February of 1977 through June of 1978.

The Barney Miller TV show ran for a total of 168 series episodes from 1975 to 1982 on ABC.
