Summary

This 80’s movie portrays one of the many civil wars that occurred in Central America, and how a neutral photographer deals with it.

Plot

Under Fire twirls around of the most turbulent times in the history of Nicaragua. Anastasio Somoza Debayle is the president, but also a dictator who ruled with an iron fist. He was the inheritor of a country that was managed by the Somoza family since the mid 1930’s.

So, when the photographer Russell Price starts to become a nuisance for the dictator, he will have to hide from the army in order to survive. Unfortunately, the only ones that can help him in Under Fire is the guerrilla financed by Cuba.
