Officer Alex J. Murphy/RoboCop - Peter Weller
TriviaThe Robocop costume was so humid for actor Peter Weller that he was losing pounds each day as a result. An air-conditioner was eventually installed in the costume.
Arnold Schwarzenegger was originally picked to play the role of Robocop, but the producers changed their mind for fear that his bulky appearance would look more like the
Michelin Man icon than Robocop.

watch out - gory!
Now that this movie is up on hulu.com... I watched it, innocently expecting a sort of corny action flick. What I got was a lot darker and nastier than what I expected. It's still not really meaningful in any way, but certainly NOT FUN unless you're into gore and violence.
Just a warning for anyone who hasn't seen it (probably very few people on this site).
