Plot

When Officer Alex J Murphy’s (played by Peter Weller) was killed, his key body parts were transferred into a robot shell in the movie Robocop.

As Robocop, Murphy fights crimes in futuristic Detroit, but as he regains his memory, he remembers the person who killed him : gang leader Clarence Boddicker (played by Kurtwood Smith” and he seeks revenge on him in the movie Robocop.

The Robocop costume was so humid for actor Peter Weller that he was losing pounds each day as a result. An air-conditioner was eventually installed in the costume.

Arnold Schwarzenegger was originally picked to play the role of Robocop, but the producers changed their mind for fear that his bulky appearance would look more like the
Michelin Man icon than Robocop.
