Plot

It is the 1900s and jazz pianist Coalhouse Walker Jr (played by Howard E Rollins Jr) is enjoy the success that his career brings in the movie Ragtime.

Walker is caught up in a time period where racism is prevalent and all are pleased about his success except the White folks in Ragtime. So they torture him and his property as he tries to get someone in authority to listen to his plight.
