Plot

All Neal Page (played by Steve Martin) was trying to do was get home in time for the Thanksgiving holidays in the movie Planes, Trains and Automobiles.

It seems like every form of transportation that Neal takes to get to Chicago results in him meeting up with the obnoxious salesman Del Griffith (played by John Candy). A burgeoning friendship commences, as they share jokes, tips, and good conversation in the movie Planes, Trains and Automobiles.
