Alan Swann (played by Peter O’Toole) is scheduled to perform on a 50s talent show in the movie My Favorite Year.

When Swann shows up drunk, it isn’t what the show’s junior writer, Benjy Stone (played by Mark Linn-Baker), was expecting. Enter King Kaiser (played by Joseph Bologna), one of the other performers on the show who wants to have Swann thrown off the show. But, his longtime idol Benjy is against it and he finds himself babysitting his hero in the movie My Favorite Year.
