Movie Plot For Fame

Four students Coco Hernandez (Irene Cara), Doris Finsecker (Tresa Hughes), Montgomery MacNeil (Paul McCrane) and Raul Garcia (Barry Miller) have just enrolled at the New York Performing School for the Arts in Fame.

The movie Fame then follows the lives of four students who all lead different lifestyles. But one thing that remains paramount on each of their minds is the need to succeed in their dance class and to graduate.

Trivia for the Movie Fame

The Fame television series spin-off starred four of the stars from the movie. They include Gene Anthony-Ray, Debbie Allen, Albert Hague, and Lee Curreri.

Albert Hague was an actual teacher at LaGuardia High School of Music, Arts, and Performing Arts before he got the role of Benjamin Shorofsky in Fame.

Academy Awards:

Michael Gore won for Best Original Score for Fame.
