Plot

The two main characters of Driving Miss Daisy are Hoke Colburn (played by Morgan Freeman) and Daisy Werthan (placed by Jessica Tandy). Hoke is African American while Daisy is Jewish and he is hired to drive her around.

In Driving Miss Daisy, Daisy Werthan is stubborn and is a bit hostile to her chauffer, Hoke. As years go by and they talk to each other more, they build a solid friendship that will last a lifetime. Hokeís caring and patient demeanor eventually teaches Daisy a lesson in humility and about not judging a book by its cover.
