For couple Barbara and Dave Whiteman (played by Richard Dreyfuss and Bette Midler) in Down and Out in Beverly Hills, things canít get any worse. They donít have a sex life and their kids are indecisive about where their own lives are heading.
Enter a street vagabond Jerry Baskin (played by Nick Nolte), who is about to end his life in the coupleís posh Beverly Hills pool. Lifestyles are about to change in Down and Out in Beverly Hills as Dave Whiteman rescues and invites the vagabond to stay with him and his family.
