Berlin -Berlin’s next single, ”Sex,” was banned by many radio stations due to its graphic lyrics. Many people considered it a hit anyway. The single appeared on the EP, Pleasure Victim, released in 1982. The EP also featured the hit, “The Metro,” which would be covered by many bands such as System of a Down decades later.... Wham! -The duo originally met when they were both students in Watford, England at Bushey Meads School. They originally performed in a band called the Executive. They later changed their name to Wham! and scored a record deal with Innervision Records. Later, after winning a legal battle against their original label, Wham! was able to sign to CBS and Columb... Europe -Europe’s first album in the 1980s was self titled. This album didn’t bear very many notable singles. It included the single, “Seven Doors Hotel.” The album was released by Hot Records.... |
