The S.O.S. Band Artist Bio and Lyrics
The ‘80s band the SOS Band was founded in Atlanta, Georgia in the year 1977. They were originally called Santa Monica. Later, they changed their name to SOS Band. The “SOS” in their name stands for “Save Our Souls,” not “Sounds of Success,” as is commonly believed.
The band was led by Mary Davis. They are perhaps known for their hit “Take Your Time (Do It Right),” which was released in the year 1979. In the year 1982, they began working with the legendary production team of Terry Lewis and Jimmy Jam, who would craft a long string of hits for the group that included “Just Be Good To Me,” “The Finest,” “Tell Me If You Still Care,” and “Borrowed Love.” They are known for popularizing the use of the Roland TR-808 Drum Machine, with its distinctive cowbell sound. The SOS Band continues to tour and record to this day.
The SOS Band song “Just Be Good To Me” was later remixed by Fatboy Slim as “Dub Be Good To Me.” This song would make it to the top position on the charts in the United Kingdom. The song was mixed with the bass line of the Clash song “Guns of Brixton.” Their song “Tell Me If You Still Care” was later covered in the year 1995 by Monica.
The albums of the SOS Band include S.O.S., Two, S.O.S. Band III, On the Rise, Just the Way You Like It, Sands of Time, Diamonds in the Raw, One of Many Nights, The Best of the SOS Band, and 2003’s Too.

Who sings this song?
For weeks now I have been trying to find out what the name of this artist is. It is an 80s song. In the video clip a guy is sitting at a bar and then he gets on a platform and starts singing. He is singing alone but has a girl either side of him dancing while he is singing. The artist has a very high pitched voice especially in the chours. I think it may be a pop song because it does have a beat to it. I also think he may be a English singer because he does have a accient (not american) but I not 100% sure. If anyone can help me with this I would be forever greatful. This has been playing with my mind it seems forever.
