The Moody Blues Artist Bio and LyricsThe British rock and roll ‘80s band the Moody Blues originated in Birmingham, England. The band was started by Ray Thomas and Michael Pinder, who played a form of rhythm and blues in the 1960s along with Graeme Edge. They would later be joined by Justin Hayward and John Lodge.
As time wore on, the Moody Blues developed a more progressive sound, fusing rock and roll with classical music. The Moody Blues’ most famous album is probably Days of Future Passed from the year 1967. The Moody Blues have been fortunate enough to have scored numerous hits in the United Kingdom, the United States, and around the world. Their line up is constantly shifting, although the band remains active, with a 2007 tour of the United States already underway as of this writing. Although they have not yet been inducted in to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Moody Blues are constantly mentioned as possible future inductees.
