Michael Jackson Artist Bio and LyricsIn 1982, Jackson recorded Thriller, his second 80's album with Epic records. Thriller became the best-selling album in music history with 60 million copies sold around the world. Seven hit singles came from this album, including "Billie Jean", "Beat It" and "Thriller". Thriller spent 37 weeks at number one on the Billboard charts.
While performing "Billie Jean" at the Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever 1983 concert Michael Jackson debuted his signature move - the moonwalk. It was at this point that Jackson's stardom took off. The media began paying more attention to Jackson from that point on. In 1983 Michael Jackson started a sponsorship deal with Pepsi-Cola. As part of the deal he agreed to star in a commercial. While filming a Pepsi Light commercial with his brothers in 1984, his hair caught on fire when a pyrotechnic effect went awry. Jackson suffered serious burns on his scalp, which required skin grafts. In 1984, Michael Jackson won eight Grammy awards. Seven were for the hugely successful Thriller. Reuniting with his brothers, Jackson then helped to write the Victory album and performed and starred in the successful Victory Tour. In 1987, Michael Jackson starred in the George Lucas/Francis Ford Coppola 3-D film Captain EO. The film clocked in at only 17 minutes, but cost and estimated $17 million. It was the most expensive film ever produced on a per-minute basis at the time. Despite the cost the film was a commercial success. In 1987 Jackson released his third Epic label album Bad. With high expectations after the success of Thriller, Jackson had complex ideas for the album. He initially wanted to make the album 30 songs in length. Producer Quincy Jones cut the number to a reasonable 10. He also wanted the title track to be a duet with fellow pop star Prince. However the two had creative differences over lyrical content and Prince ultimately refused the project. In 2009 Jackson planned a series of comeback concerts in London. He was in the midst of rehearsals for these shows when he tragically died of heart failure. Jackson was pronounced dead at 2:26 p.m. PDT (9:26 p.m. EDT) on June 25, 2009 after arriving at a Los Angeles hospital in full cardiac arrest. |

I CANT DO THE MOON WALK
RIP MJ
don't make fun of hhim he is innocent!!
he was just like all of you regular he made a change..
we'll never forget you, MJ
forgive me about my gramatical mistake.
I remember back in the eighties...he was THE ONE. He was so huge. Everyone talked about him all the time. His songs were playing ALWAYS on the radio, it was insane. He became the King, we were all totally in awe of his talent.
Everybody wanted to know more about Michael, so this is when the papparazzis went crazy, when the tabloids started to invent stupid stories about him. He wasn't an attention-seeker with the media, he was even rather shy...it was the media that wanted him too much!
Michael gave more than 500 millions in charities throughout his life. It's in the Guiness Book of World records. He was the most generous man on earth! How could the media be so rude to him, I still don't understand...
He gave all his profits from the Victory to charities, and visited sick children in hospitals during all his life. He had the biggest heart.
He made Neverland, his home and dream place to live, so he could get some of the childhood he never had. He wanted also to make the sick and the poor children in need happy. Thousands of children visited Neverland, so they could be happy...Michael loved children, and understood them. They also understood him more than adults. Michael was so powerful and rich, adults were always asking for money, and more, and more...Michael preferred the children, pure and nice, instead of the greedy, manipulative grown-ups.
Michael went trough hell with the papparazzis, the tabloids, but also because of 2 specific cases of EXTORSION. First accuser Jordan Chandler was driven to lie by his greedy father, who used to beat his children and who commited suicide in 2009.
Second extorsion by the Arvizo family led to a trial. The media went wild. It was a circus, and no proof AT ALL could be brought to court that Michael had ever hurt a child. The medias tried to invent stories, print the lies from people testifying at the court, but it has been proven they were ALL lying...some of them saying they saw things while...they weren't even there! Most of them have been fired for incompetence, stealing, etc. and were ready for revenge! Did you know a juicy story could get you $60 000 from the tabloids at the time? People were ready to say anything for money.
Michael, of course, was proven INNOCENT.
Michael had a terrible disease that made him have white spots on his skin : it is called VITILIGO. People tought he was trying to bleach his skin to be white. But it wasn't his fault...still, he had to endure the mockery, the stupid stories...
Rest in peace, my King. Thank you for your music, your message of peace, and everything you did for the world. We will remember you forever.
July 7, 2009, at Michael Jackson's memorial service, Rev. Al Sharpton said to Michael's children : "There was nothing strange about your father. It was strange what your daddy had to deal with".
