KC With Teri DeSario Artist Bio and LyricsThe ‘80s artist and songwriter Teri DeSario was originally from Miami, Florida. In the United States, she is perhaps best known for her duet with KC of KC and the Sunshine band on the well known hit “Yes, I’m Ready,” which was released in the year 1980. It was a cover of a popular Barbara Mason song and featured on DeSario’s second album Moonlight Madness, which had been released the previous year. Her follow up singles included a cover of “Dancin’ In the Streets” and “Moonlight Madness.”
But unfortunately, DeSario would never attain the amount of fame that KC reached with his KC and the Sunshine Band. She was effectively a one hit wonder. KC and the Sunshine Band embraced disco and rhythm and blues, as well as funk. They are perhaps best known for a string of hits that included “Get Down Tonight” and “(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty." The albums of KC and the Sunshine Band include KC and the Sunshine Band, The Sound of Sunshine, Part Three, Who Do Ya Love, Do You Wanna Go Party, Space Cadet, The Painter, All in a Night’s Work, KC Ten, Oh Yeah!, I’ll Be There For You, Greatest Hits Vol. 1, The Best of KC and the Sunshine Band, Greatest Hits Vol. 2, KC and the Sunshine Band…and More, Part 3…and More, Get Down Live!, Shake Shake Shake and Other Hits, I’m Your Boogie Man and Other Hits, Live: Get Down Tonight, and In a Mellow Mood. |
