Journey Artist Bio and Lyrics
The 70's and 80's rock band Journey were formed in the year 1973 in San Francisco, California. The band was started by former members of the band Santana, and has since gone through numerous line up changes. They attained the height of their success in the 1980s with the release of such classic power ballads as “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Wheel In the Sky,” “Any Way You Want It,” “Separate Ways,” “Faithfully,” and “Open Arms.”
It was in the year 1981 when Journey’s star began to rise. That was the year their seventh studio album, Escape, was released. It would make it to the top position on the album charts in the United States. It is widely considered to be the band’s most important album. It contained the hit songs “Who’s Crying Now,” “Open Arms,” and “Don’t Stop Believin’.” The band was made famous by Steve Perry’s husky tenor voice, which was soon to be widely imitated on rock and roll radio stations throughout the United States.
“Don’t Stop Believin’” in particular showed how well Perry’s soaring voice could merge with the band’s intricate guitar and piano work. “Open Arms” helped establish Perry as the leading voice of the arena rock movement of the 1980s.
The albums of Journey include Journey, Look Into the Future, Next, Infinity, Evolution, In the Beginning, Departure, Dream After Dream, Captured, Escape, Tron, Frontiers, Two of a Kind, Risky Business, Vision Quest, Raised on Radio, Greatest Hits, The Ballade, Time, Trial by Fire, Greatest Hits Live, Armageddon, Arrival, The Essential Journey, The Journey Continues, Red 13, Open Arms, Generations, and Live in Houston 1981: The Escape Tour.

look,I will concede,Journey's very first album was excellent, the group had great promise,(much like Triumverate and Armageddon),Ansely Dunsbar was with them then. After that, they became horrible,HORRIBLE.The stuff for the monster truck events crowd, high school football bands, and fat chicks that couldn't even get laid by fat guys.Dull, unimaginative, perfect for mindless consumers to mumble the inane lyrics to as they browse the ailses at their favorite dollar store
