Throughout the decade, Schneider supplemented his career as Bo Duke with a string of country hits. Schneider’s best known songs include “It’s Now or Never,” “I’ve Been Around Enough to Know,” “Country Girls,” “What’s a Memory Like You (Doing in a Love Like This),” “You’re the Last Thing I Needed Tonight,” “At the Sound of the Tone,” and “Love, You Ain’t Seen the Last of Me.” All told, John Schneider has recorded eleven albums to date.

His co-star on The Dukes of Hazzard, Tom Wopat, also enjoyed a significant degree of success on the country music charts. Schneider and Wopat teamed up to sing several duets on the TV series, occasionally together with co-star Catherine Bach. In fact, in the seventh season’s DVD box set, the trio performed a remake of the show's theme song "Good Ole Boys" in a music video in homage to their friend Waylon Jennings.

John Schneider is known to be a born again Christian. In the year 1982, he co-founded, with Marie Osmond, the Children's Miracle Network to come to the aid of suffering children. In the year 1995, he founded FaithWorks Productions in order to produce family oriented videos.

I agree with john Schneider on The Dukes Of Hazzard because I grew up watching that show! I mean hell its a part of America just like Apple Pie and vanilla ice cream and the confederate flag give me a break!! I mean c\\\'mon it\\\'s our history and itss not anyone fault that some kkk members use it or its used in hate crimes and everyone has a right! But for real America is becoming a bunch of cry baby\'s who want this person fired or this person has to lose their jobs and careers just like Paula Dean! Paula Dean has great recipes and their is nothing wrong with the lady!! Who uses the N word the most it\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s the blacks that do in their rap music or whatever they call that junk! I absolutely like John Schneider his.music is on my iPhone 5 and if it was atnyone but you is a favorite of mine So what we should do with these cry baby\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s I don\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t know but use your imagination I would! The haves and Have Nots is kickass and I love Renee lawless ❤️🌹😍
