Eddie Money’s first album of the 1980s was his third release. Playing For Keeps was released in 1980 and rose to number 35 on the US album charts. The album included, “Let’s Be Lovers Again,” a duet with Valerie Carter.

The Next Eddie Money album in the 1980s came in 1982 with, No Control. No Control was Money’s fourth album, and it climbed to number 20 on the US album charts in 1982.

In 1983, Eddie Money released Where’s The Party. This album was considerably less successful, only charting number 67 in the US. His next album however, would establish his true fame.

In 1986, Eddie Money released Can’t Hold Back. This album sold platinum several years after its release, and peaked at number 20. The main single on the album was, “Take Me Home Tonight,” a duet with vocalist Ronnie Spector. That single rose to number 4 in the US, and really helped boost the album into its platinum sales position.

Finally, in 1988 Eddie Money released, Nothing to Lose. From this album on single, “Walk on Water,” was very successful, but the rest of the album never really caught on with the public, the album peaked at number 49.
