The Eagles were formed in Los Angeles, California in the 1970s. Throughout their career they have enjoyed several number one singles.

The Eagles’ first album was self-titled and released in 1972. It was a number 22 Pop album, and contained top 10 single, “Witchy Woman.” The album also contained the songs, “Take it Eaasy,” and “Peaceful Easy Feeling.”

The next album from the Eagles was Desperado in 1973. This album only made it as far as number 41 on the Billboard Top Albums, and bore no top 40 singles. Despite its lack of commercial success, “Tequila Sunrise” is a well-known song from the Eagles. In 1974, they followed up with the album, On the Border. On the Border contained the Eagles’ first number one single, “Best of My Love.”

In 1975, the Eagles released, One of These Nights. This was their most successful album when it was released. It was a number one album, and contained number one single, “One of These Nights,” and number 2 single, “Lyin’ Eyes.” Also, the album included number four single, “Take it To the Limit.”

In 1976, the Eagles released their most well-known album, Hotel California. The album was a number one pop album and number 10 country album. Of its songs, two number one singles emerged; “New Kid in Town,” and the title track, “Hotel California.” Also, “Life in the Fast Lane was a number 11 single. The album was awarded a Grammy for Record of the Year.

Finally, in 1979 the Eagles released their final number one original album. The Long Run brought forth three top ten singles, “Heartache Tonight,” at number one, and two number 8 singles, “I Can’t Tell You Why,” and “The Long Run.”

The Best

Been listening consistantly since 70's. Was born the same year as 4 or 5 of your band members, past and present. Been keeping up with them all this year as we all turned the big 6 0. Cannot believe we all made it! Your new double cd is awsume!

All Eagle Music

You have all stayed in touch with your style, and even though I know your music has made you wealthy, you still sing what your audiences wanted to hear. Your music got the message out about taking care of the earth before it's too late. Bless you for not giving in to marketing and greed. You sang what you believed in and that's why you're still with us 30 years later. I know we're all getting older but I will be a fan until my time runs out.

Thank you for your dedication. Non music people have no idea how much practice, etc., etc., it takes for CD's and live shows
to remain at 3 hours. You are all truly amazing!

Being Steely dan is still my #1 band..being a jazz-rock guy. You are #2 and I see you have added a horn section. We will be attending yor Detroit show in March. We just saw you in Charleston S.C. last friday and went to Boston to see you last July. This in addition to two times in 3 weeks in 03. Please...our favorite tune is never played in your concerts. If you can do it please consider playing "Get over it" in Detroit. It's a very appropriate tune for these times just as it was in 94.

Perfection

Seen them 4 times in England; Sheffield, Twickenham, 02 London, and Manchester, cost me and the missus a fortune over the years but worth every penny. I would sooner pay top dollar to see the Eagles anytime than pay a few bob to watch some of these modern day bands. The Eagles are perfection personified. There songs are timeless classics, Don, Glenn, Tim and Joe put together are awesome and the line up of back up musicians just make it complete. Long may you all live and keep touring. My missus says we must go over to California to see tham next time. Come on Guys!!!
