Dan Fogelberg Artist Bio and LyricsDan Fogelberg was born in Peoria, Illinois on August 13, 1951. He’s been releasing albums since his 1972, Home Free to his 2003, Full Circle.
The first Dan Fogelberg album in the 1980s was in 1981, The Innocent Age. The album became a number 6 pop album that year and bore many successful singles, “Same Old Lang Syne,” became a number 9 pop single, and “Hard to Say ,” were the two most successful in 1981. The albums releases extended into 1982 with the number one Adult Contemporary single, “Leader of the Band.” Also the single, “Run For the Roses” was a top 20 pop hit. In 1982, Dan Fogelberg released a Greatest Hits album. His next official album came in 1984 with, Windows and Walls. The album contained singles such as Billboard number 13 single, “The Language of Love,” and top 50 hit, “Believe in Me.” Overall the album charted number 15. The next Dan Fogelberg album came in 1985 with High Country Snows. The album finished at number 30 and only put forth two charting singles. The first of these singles was “Down the Road,” which only charted as a hot country single. The second was, “Go Down Easy,” which was number 6 on adult contemporary, and 85 on the hot 100. Dan Fogelberg’s final album of the 1980s came in 1987 with, Exiles. The album charted 48 on the hot 200 albums. It contained the singles, Lonely In Love,” which climbed all the way up to number 2 on the adult contemporary chart. It also featured, “Seeing You Again,” and “She Don’t Look Back.” |
