Lyrics If I Could Turn Back Time

Cher’s first album of the 1980s was Black Rose but the album was generally unsuccessful, only selling about 400,000 copies worldwide. Her next album in 1982, I Paralyze, followed suit commercially. The album is however considered by Cher fans to be her most underrated album.

Finally, in 1987 Cher released a self-titled album and it broke through climbing to number 32 in the US and 26 in the UK. The album sold more than 7 million copies worldwide. The album contained singles such as, “Bang Bang,” “I Found Someone,” and “We All Sleep Alone.”

In 1989 Cher released another successful album, but this album was successful on a more worldwide basis. The album, Heart Of Stone, reached number 10 in the US, 7 in the UK, 19 in Germany and 11 in Norway. The album sold almost 11 million copies. Heart Of Stone included one of Cher’s most notable songs, “If I Could Turn Back Time,” which was a number three single on the US Hot 100.
