Buckner and Garcia consisted of Jerry Buckner and Gary Garcia. Their only success came from the novelty album, Pac-Man Fever, which was released in 1982.

Buckner and Garcia’s album was based entirely on arcade video games. The album included songs like: “Froggy’s Lament,” which was based on the game, Frogger, “Do the Donkey Kong,” and “Ode to a Centipede.”

Buckner and Garcia had one successful single, the title track of their album, Pac-Man Fever. The song rose to number eight in the US. When they got Steven Spielberg’s permission to name their next album, ET, I Love You, the label dropped the album.

Buckner and Garcia got a band back together and released s few more short albums in 2001. When CBS refused to release the singles they re-recorded Pac-Man Fever. They also later released an acoustic version of Pac-Man Fever.
