Bryan Adams was born on November 5, 1959 in Kingston, Ontario. By the time Adams was 18 he was signed to A&M Records. His self-titled debut was released in 1980, but it didn’t receive much radio respect. However in 1981 his album, You Want It, You Got It featured the single, Lonely Nights.

When Bryan Adams released his third album he finally struck the success goldmine. His third album, Cuts Like a Knife was released in 1983. He had four hits from the album, including title track, “Cuts Like a Knife,” also “Straight From the Heart,” and “This Time.”

In 1984 Bryan Adams followed up Cuts Like a Knife with his fourth album, Reckless. The album was even more successful than the former. The first single, “Run To You,” rose to number 6 in the US and made it into the top 20 in the UK and Canada. In 1985 he released the single, “Heaven” which was his first number one hit. The album also contained one of the more notable songs of the 1980s for him, “Summer of ‘69.”

Bryan Adams’ final release of the 1980s came in 1987 with his release of Into the Fire. Singles from the album included US number six, “Heat of the Night,” and “Hearts on Fire.”

Bryan Adams would continue to release albums until his latest in 2005, Anthology. He would record several soundtracks and songwriter for other artists. He also found some success in Photography.
