Boz Scaggs was born in Canton, Ohio. He spent some time playing in Steve Miller’s band, The Marksmen. He released his first album in 1967 naming it Boz.

Boz Scaggs only released two albums in the 1980s, the first was Middle Man. The album climbed to number eight on the Billboard album charts in 1980 and yielded two singles. “Breakdown Dead Ahead,” reached number 19 and “Jojo,” reached number 17.

Boz Scaggs’ next album came in 1988, Other Roads. The album was quite unsuccessful as far as charting positions. The album brought an end to a solid string of charting singles for Boz.

Boz Scaggs continued to release albums and held onto a steady fan base to date. Scaggs continues to tour every summer.
