Alice Cooper released Constrictor in 1986. The album was heavier than his early 80's releases. Raise Your Fist and Yell was Alice Coopers 1987 album which had a rougher sound than its predecessor.

Alice Coopers late 80's albums Constrictor and Raise Your Fist and Yell were recorded with guitarist Kane Roberts & bassist Kip Winger, both of whom would leave the band by the end of 1988.

In 1986 Alice Cooper had a hit with the theme song "The Man Behind the Mask" for the movie Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives. In 1987, Alice made a brief appearance as a vagrant in the John Carpenter directed horror movie Prince of Darkness.

In 1989, Desmond Child produced the Alice Cooper album Trash, which contained the hit single 'Poison', reaching # 2 in the UK and #7 on the US charts It was during this time in the 1980s he became a born-again Christian and became sober.

Cooper received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2003. It is located at the corner of Orange Drive and Hollywood Boulevard.
