After The Fire Artist Bio and Lyrics80's band After the Fire was originally formed as a progressive rock band in the early 1970s in London. The band then went through many personnel changes before settling. The band released Signs of Change in 1978.
After The Fire's second album Laser Love was released in 1979. The band moved towards a new wave style, with shorter and catchier pop rock songs. After The Fire's single, "One Rule for You", became a top 40 hit in the UK. After the Fire released their next two albums in the earlt 80's. 80F and Batteries Not Included were not commercial successes. After The Fire came back when their cover of Falco's song, "Der Kommissar", made it to the U.S. top ten in 1983. They followed up with the release of their only U.S. album, ATF, a compilation of their career. After the Fire split up soon after the top ten success of "Der Kommissar" in 1983. |
